Couple of thousands of click for sailing to get from my home to the nearest bear.

I give you a reasonable breakdown of how many clicks it takes to harvest a 64 tile field... And you argue that you have to click thousands of times, because your claim is in the wrong place to be used for hunting.

I am blown away at the strength of your argument. Just fucking blown away. :!:

So your argument is that everyone should be a hermit in X wilderness? I'm sorry, but the world is not big enough for that.

And I live like 1/6 of a supergrid away from Mordor. It still takes a fuckton of clicks to move along rivers. I'd say about 5 clicks to traverse one screen worth in default client.

Nobody ever heard of hunting camps making heartfires in the middle of nowhere and just porting there with some alcohol in your pack for quick return. Takes significantly less clicks than farming even if you are a main quadrant resident. And bears are everywhere just because you don't know where to go look for them doesn't mean they are not there.

You can't find many bears by rivers because everyone is boat hunting.

Look, I'm not arguing that farming interface doesn't need improvement. I'm just saying that everything needs improvement, including hunting. Pathfinding for players example would make it much less tedious, especially when there's lag.

The point is, there's a lot of pressing things, and demanding improvements to any specific one RIGHT NOW is pointless.

I've seen two bears since I set off from Novigrad:

One was cruising along the banks of the river,
The other was tearing me to pieces on my own claim.

I am not asking for the improvements right now. Just pointing out some of the improvements made are counterproductive like the seedbags. I will be happy with an acknowledgment that there is indeed a problem that needs addressing because if it is not a problem in the developers vision for the game I will know that I need to let people more in tune with that vision play and step back. I am waiting for that acknowledgment because the way the seed bags got implemented it is completely counter productive in my view it solves nothing a field side container does not solve and it adds an extra layer of micromanagement the problem it was supposed to fix in the first place.

I really don't think "number of clicks" is a good measurement. Would you rather be sitting there watching yourself stab a bear or moving stuff around inventories? If you're worried about the abillity of semi afk hunting, the real (and aknowledged) problem is how combat plays out. I don't farm because I find it boring, not because it's useless and awful.

I think seed bags were just tacked on in the last 15 minutes of the dev sessions to give something tangible to the players. As important as it is, overhaul of the inventory handling code simply isn't exciting at all for your average player.
