Server Issues: Crashes, Lag, Restarts, Rollbacks

Yeah seems they had just changed from java2d to jogl? (can't remember) and were testing FPS with moving sprites.
Pretty sure it's back when it was only Jorb, Loftar and Kaka

As we speak. Just go buy a CO2 pump, hook it up to your face, and go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning, you'll be in world 4.

I'm almost sure it's not caused by my connection nor PC, everything else works fine, so I figure either server is experiencing some temporary problems or this game's lag is a feature ^^ Or maybe some tweaks can be done to game client or Java?
If there's anything I can do to fix the lag, please tell me, coz the game is awesome and I want to play it but I can't take it with all this lag =/
