Jackard. Some guidelines for what defines "garbage" and "bitching" as opposed to "ideas" and "criticism" would be appreciated, so that users may avoid causing ire amongst the moderation in future.

If you lack the common sense to differentiate between them, perhaps it is best that you continue posting here instead of trying your luck.

Common sense is relative to the individual. Your methods for differentiating between garbage and not garbage appear arbitrary. This is why I am asking for clarification.

Every damned announcement thread turns into a fucking bitch-fest. Honestly, announcement threads should be by the announcer, J/L, and should be only open for comments by them or mods.

No good comes from having these topics open to the immature public.

Nobody cares about your independent hardships, we're all in the same boat.

Yea see honestly I don't give a damn.

The only condition I have set is a pretty simple one; stop shitting up the forum with new complaint threads. See here for examples of what is and isn't acceptable: search.php?search_id=active_topics

I have, upon reading this thread, only one comment. WoW can go cry for it's momma.

This is possibly the best system I have ever seen implemented in an MMO, and I am happy to say that I will be exploring all this new world has to offer. I will also be laughing at all the noobs, haters, and whiners.

That's the impression I got, yes.

Anyway, the game, or what currently stands in its place.

Initially I believed that the primary benefit of these changes were that they'd kill off most of the bots, but in retrospect I'm not even sure that's the case anymore. Cycling curiosities with maximum efficiency is going to be something left exclusively to the realm of bots. The gap will probably be smaller than it was, at least. I'm sticking around mainly because I'm curious to see if there's going to be any significant player falloff. Early on, everybody's enjoying the shiny new content, but new content doesn't last forever. I'm wondering how many people have hit the "wall" yet, the point at which bootstrap LP dies off and you're not left with enough LP to actually advance in any meaningful way.

It's a damn shame. This could've been dealt with far more efficiently with hard stat caps and LP falloff.

Gotta love all the 2011's crying. Sorry to break it for ya, but this game is not made for your personal entertainment. It is an early alpha concept and for all intents and purposes is meant as a playground where new things can be tested. Can't stomach it - do something else with your life.

You can't save a sinking boat by sticking your thumb in the hole. And even if you hadn't yet noticed it in your quarters, trust me - the water was rising high already. The previous four boats were all leaking water, so it is time to scrap that design and try with a new one and see if it holds out better.

But hey, you can always get a refund, right?

He knew it all so much better, yet was unable to create anything new by himself. So he mainly concentrated on whining.

Tbh, I'm an average player. I never log for more than 2 hours a day, and some weeks I played only 1 day or even not at all.
What I dislike about the new system is that after playing 2-3 hours in World 5 I have gathered up my curiosities (I'm doing something that I really don't like doing and it seems as an unnecessary timesink. Feels like I'm forced to farm items, just like in an average MMORPG) and I'm stuck, waiting to finish studying these curiosities. I've got absolutely nothing to do and am forced to wait.
Just like in some browser RTS, where you log in once in two days to check on your resources and spend them.

Your game, your world, but having to adjust to a new world with a new toon when I was going well in world 4.....
Ok, I also understand as I saw several cities that had been abandoned, as well as villages and farms, etc. Waste of resources? I noted claimed areas that no long had an owner. Do you think that abandoned claimed lands should waste away as do the fences, containers, abodes etc.? Something to consider, thanks you.
