all the 2009 registered folks should get in alpha first, if they request it, imho.

:)

I for one am against this form of selection on the sole fact that it rules me out.

Whichever way is most exclusive but still includes me is the manner in which I feel this selection needs to take place.

1 dev item = 1 alpha account. I think this is fair

Well, that'd knock me out of the running.

Sure, why not. Would probably be more fair than some of the other methods used to select early testers. However, early join does not necessarily mean better bug finder.

Only if that dev item is for bug hunting. :)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Realistically the people who actually want to test the game and look for bugs will get into the alpha not the people who just want to play it. That would be the inner party who have shown that they can find bugs etc, also jorb trusts them (jorbs anal friends)

If join date does matter (IF). Would Jorb and Loftar have the exact date the account was registered? or the day they first logged on the forums that everyone sees?
