Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

oh man, this thread.

i don't get any reward for building thing!

you get thing. thing can be used or traded for other thing. that is the reward.

but a bot! it's facebook game now! i have nothing do! make wait? hnggggggggggggggg!

you're going to gain LP no matter what you're doing. people who spend their idle time building infrastructure, exploring, trading, and increasing their attributes are going to end up better off that someone logs on, switches curios, and logs out.

no, you don't get LP from killing animals. you get things (see above post).

I want to first admit that i have not played since world one. Also, this account was started after i first started playing. I started about 2 months before the end of world 3, played all of short world 4, have played a few hours of world 5.From what i can tell from playing and what i have read (on many threads from w3-w5) this game is mainly to shape what u want to shape and advance yourself in a vast world ready for development.
I loved this game and maybe still will, however since i have read almost every post on this thread so far i have a couple things i would like to say.
One of the main things everyone is debating...botters/exploiters etc. Everygame i have ever played from 8bit nintendo to ps3 and pc games have be exploited some way shape or form. It has happened, is happening and will always happen, i dont think anyone will argue that. Botters didnt bother me, i work a full time job 50+ hours a week and kept up just fine in my mind on skills and fep's to serve my purposes in the game.
Atm, i kinda feel like this is a folklorish sim city 2000, you build your village and make it better and have better buildings and stuff and neat.
I think the best idea for lp i have read about is that of specialized lp gain. I will elaborate more on the idea i as think they meant it. You go hunting with sling/WB/RB and the lp you gain from that continues to add to your MM that way the hunter of the village can hunt etc etc. also that means if you want to be the asshole and hunt people with a bow you have to do a lot of hunting to get there, not bot a mine and dump it all into MM. the farmer continues to raise his farming by planting harvesting etc. Thus grinding buckets or crates would make u one hell of a carpenter but nothing else. By breaking each thing down into catergories it keeps the specialization of villagers aspect of the game and makes botting only functional for a few things if any, actually none that i can think of. Granted i have never botted and not sure exactly what people did. Im tired as hell atm and not sure what catergory mining lp would go in but i think that was something i heard of people botting. I cant think of anything that its directly linked to atm so...no lp for mining no big deal, give lp for smelting and forging etc that could go for smithing. anyway i think u all get the point. This to me means everyone gets lp for doing the things in the game that they like to do. Melee, spar or fight animals, same with UA, etc etc all the way down the lined of skills.

Lp for buying skills, not sure exactly what to do there but that could be easily developed. its a pretty small part of the game (used to be anyway). *after thought* - this lp could also be the lP you use for buying skills, starting PC and starting VC. maybe it could be general LP pool that is based off of a % of the specialized types of Lp you gain from other things.

How i feel the game is now; which obviusly some people like and others do not...to each their own.

To me its kinda like playing with legos in RL but i dont have to wait for an hour to learn how to put the roof on my lego house. And also i wish i could read teh same book over and over and keep getting smarter. Now people will write a bot program that continues to put items in there study and grind lp, same problem as before. but really how many times could u study the same pine cone cow trinket and keep learning from it. Same as grinding buckets to me. I think i understand the idea behind the curiousities but find it silly u can study the same thing 100,000 times and keep learning from it. its just BAH to me. anyway getting way to tired to think anymore but to me this feels sim city ish. anyway im not trying to troll or say im quitting or anything like that just expressing my thoughts and ideas. J&L u both obviusly have a lot of programming talent and have done great work on ur games. if you have time and dont mind humoring me with a response as too whether im way off base on where i thnk u are/where going with this game that would be great if not i realize ur busy as hell and cant respond to every crackpot out there but i think that these thoughts have some merit and if u dont well it would be nice to know so i dont bring them up in the future...happy gaming to all whichever game it may be.

Agree on the LP specialization suggestion. The old LP system with LP specialization would be amazing.

Yeah now you get meaningless rewards for looking at toys such as cone cows.

Repeating that you're enjoying it every second page won't be enough to brainwash people who don't like it, y'know.

I actually tried to enjoy it. I really did. I'll keep trying too, I guess.
But waiting, even offline, to gain LP so I can actually do what I really want is not, in any way, fun. It's just... waiting. I was never a fan of grinding, but grinding>waiting.

I ate all blueberries (99.9% sure) and nothing else and got a point of strength.? Very trivial thing to look up in the code if thats even possible but....did i really just get a point of STR for eating BB's? Damnit 1 less thing i can study.

I like this new system, it encourages exploration and experimentation.
