Server issues: New server

It is less lag now. And I like it. I just hope everyone here gets Salem invite so we will get even less lag

some of the lag isn't player based, if you didn't know. There is some clunky programming aswell.

A miracle it is, that at morning game runs very very smoothly when is <400 people online. Miracle isn't it?

With the I/O lag issue being such a known problem and the fact that with Salem they'll likely have zero time to spend on Haven in the next months (year), I'm really surprised they haven't just set up the server on a scheduled automatic reboot, maybe twice a week. If it's at the exact same time and people have fair warning then I doubt it would disrupt play all that much.

Certainly better than waiting and waiting as the lag gets progressively worse throughout the week and then the server eventually crashes at which point loftar may or may not see it and reboot it for another day or two.

They've been working on Salem non-stop for months now, just because people got let into Beta doesn't change the amount of work they are doing...
