i was sure that bashing palisades are fine with newbies.

10 mins with 4 people equalling 70str got it destroyed pretty quick.

i think emberwood did a damn good job ramming a mansion and brick walls

ffs, 15 stones I've shot at this single Ox and it hasn't died :P

I don't really understand the palisade nerf.. what was the reasoning behind it? That other semi-new players should be able to break down the walls of other semi-new players? >_>

Overall it looks really good though.

Early game (for everyone) it's usable, midgame you have to beware but should already be moving to brick, lategame, palisade should be used as a temporary way to guard resources as you wait for the 12h brick cooldown and 24h idol cooldown. Anyone trying to break into your idol area will leave scents if you have a pclaim up inside, you'll be able to track those scents to their village, and 'war' ensues.

It's moving combat more towards scents and longer-warfare, also defense is a lot better now despite the palisade nerf, it's all funner.

Well, palisades can be used for a time-waster

which is why a multi-layer pali would be your best bet.

infact whoever loses stuff past a few palisades needs to learn how to protect ones village

Maybe the 24h->8h cooldown on the ram will mean increased use of spies for information. For example, a spy gets information that a person who owns a mine is in work from 9AM to 5PM every day. Place a ram at 9AM, person doesn't get a chance to defend himself..

But I like it :)

usually one guy alone dosen't run a mine.

Note that the initial drying time is still 24 hours. It's just that repairs are only 8 hours now. But you can build the ram farther away and slowly move it in, only waiting 8 hours after 25 tiles of movement.
