guys i had an idea listen to this we dont want places unassailable just because their walls happen to be adjacent to water. but instead of adding more terraforming or cliff removal or floating rams or simply preventing walls themselves from being built next to water/swamp tiles - instead of any of that, lets make walls require pavement and have it so you cannot pave near water/swamp, what do you think? too roundabout a solution and/or incovenient for everyone else?

Man, you make it sound like it's so hard to add new things into the game. Sheesh! Everyone knows a dev just has to flick their wrist just the right way and all new game mechanics spawn. Fucking wizards have all the power. :|
