I agree, many people in the states, except the true shroomers, the people who go out and find them, know their common name, they just consider them as "Mushroom". I learned the names of specific mushrooms from video games. But anyways. My points said.
i know a few mushroom names, which are pretty much the ones I buy or eat, but I usually just call every type of mushroom a mushroom and so does everybody else I know.
the only mushrooms that i refer to as simply "mushrooms" are the common white ones. everything else has a name. shitake. portabello. oyster. porcini. psylocibin.
also, what's the use of onions? even though they can keep you from starving I noticed it's actually harmful. I don't see them being needed for any recipes either.
Is that an actual name? I thought it was the name of a chemical within a certain range of mushrooms... I could quite easily be wrong here though, I don't eat those ones
i guess it's not really like a specific type like the other ones i mentioned. more of a group. whatever. been a while since i really talked or thought about them.
