Yes, the rivers are retarded. Those blasted rivers, walking into players, not reading the many posts that have been made warning against water in the forums, ignoring the skill saying to watch the hell out.

It was wrong of that river to lull you into a sense of false security, leading you to make faulty assumptions and ignore the in-game advice from the skill panel, the multiple warnings in the forum, and the many MANY complaints by people who have already died.

A warning has been given. Their fate is now their own.

The Swimming skill says:
"Swimming allows your character to cross deep water. Swimming is highly draining on your stamina, So know your limits, and don't brave waters you cannot handle."

While yes, this is a warning, it does not exactly say that a new character will INSTANTLY DIE when he touches the water.

But that's enough of that.

Currently there's no way to remove stone paving. It'd be nice if that was the case, especially since you can't build gates over the stones.
Surprise.

you can plow over them, plant a tree nearby to turn it into forest, or plant grass on the tile.

I don't think you can turn it into the new tile types yet though.

I can confirm that it is impossible to plow roads away with a wooden plow or by hand. The plow cannot be pushed onto roads, and cannot be moved if lifted onto a road. Planting grass still needs testing.

On a different note, it would be nice if you didn't need to pave the area before putting up a branch fence. After all, if you don't need it for palisades, you shouldn't need it for some small construction like a fence.
