Game Development: Ultra Permadeath

We've been developing tonight, and here's what's new:

First of all, we've completely removed reincarnation, due to certain people abusing the system with "LP Bank" claims and reincarnation. Now, when you die, you lose everything; your character and claim are gone permanently. The only thing you have left is the ability to spawn at your ancestor's hearthfire.

Of course, this means that we've had to make some changes to the Tradition/Change slider as well: since the players who have the most LP are clearly the most devoted users of the game, and know best how to spend LP, they will be given more LP. To wit, the tradition/change slider will be replaced by a multiplier based on your global ranking in LP. To temper this, there is now a numen multiplier, also based on your global ranking in LP. To be precise, the LP multiplier is the square root of the square root of the inverse of your rank, while the numen multiplier is the square root of the square root of your rank.

There are a few more prayers, too, we think you'll like them :). Please note that all ancestors are counted for the purpose of prayers.

This will result in a more rational, freedom-oriented world, conceived in liberty. We'll be rebooting the server in a couple minutes.

Will be pretty funny if everyone thinks this is a april fools but then it turns out to be real.

The fact that it isnt a april fools joke would be a april fools joke in itself, its only logical!
