"Attack is the best form of defense."
a famous proverb.

"You can always lose without going for Ippon."
a Judo saying here, means that trying to defend to win a game can always make you lose.

btw, counters should always need UA unless you throw stones from afar, otherwise its not combat.
this is coming from where Aikido, one of the most defensive martial arts, is born.

Those "sayings" are so fucking stupid. The first one is for Americans trying to fend off terrorists, and the second one doesn't even exist.

And what the hell does Aikido (or any other martial art for that matter) have to do with this game? If you wield a sword and shield, you shouldn't need to know how to throw a punch.

Schools teach you a lot of stuff kid. Maybe you should go to one some day. They are not as pointless as you think they are.

that's what that was for. A martial artist can still kill you even if you have a weapon and shield. there use to be martial arts specifically for killing people with weapons unarmed. Apparently school leave out the fact to be opened minded and not always follow the book.

Schools teaches... To some extent. They don't exactly teach you how to fend for yourselves in society, nor how to lead others or what to expect from the real world.
They want you to be mindless drones who will do as you are told really.

And yet the better educated tend to have more control over their own lives.

Schools allow for you to learn. If you don't feel like learning you won't.
