Administrivia: Updated phpBB

I just updated phpBB to 3.0.8. It appears to be working fine for now, but please tell me if you see anything wrong with it.

there are only 17 topics listed and they are all from in congress assembled. see for yourself: search.php?search_id=active_topics

Indeed; how odd. Admittedly, though, I never understood what is meant by "active" topics. By what criterion are topics considered active? I always just use the "new posts" search.

Anyway, I'll check it out. I think the ACP had something related to those things.

I find phpBB to be a weird piece of software. It has settings all over the place and sometimes those settings seem to alter themselves. I'm not entirely sure I like phpBB, truth be told. If you want something done properly, you have to do it yourself, I guess.

i always click "view active topics" too, never thought of trying "new posts" till i saw this lol so im not sure what the difference is now.
(last i clicked "view active topics" somehow i ended up in congress. is it fixed now?)

New posts shows posts you haven't seen yet afaik, if you click into a topic already and then refresh it shouldn't show up until a new post is up.

Was going to suggest (maybe here is a good place) that we FINALLY get [spoiler] tags. Not having them is SO annoying.
