your pallisade before the reset was also like a trap :p

nice to know about beer.

Except I could teleport out. I was making a farm to make food, beer and boar tusk powder to break out. Have 43 str and an axe so I just needed a small boost to start taking down the gate =/

Now I need to wait a month until my walls decompose, and I still wont be able to teleport to the RoB to get food from my farm since its too far =/

Why did you design something so stupid in the first place?

He didn't, the gate was left open after a crash and some guy came and extended the walls onto the gate tiles.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Extended the walls onto the gate tiles? Sounds like a reportable bug to me.

Sounds alot like my place... kinda sucks but i'd suggest you abandon it, go to the RoB and get somone to break tha pallisade or just leave it forever and start over. I drowned so the choice was easy ;D

It's a known bug, but without an easy solution.

When gates are closed, they have a blocking space just like walls.

When gates are open, the blocking space is removed.

Space blocking is currently an on/off setting, since before the addition of walls and gates a more detailed setup was not needed. I'm assuming that a multi-layered blocking space setup will be implemented 'later' once they determine how to code it in.

... Or they could just have the corner posts be a little more aware of directions that have already been extended into (eg, let them know where the gate is)

alternatively they could have the gate block a small area rather than no area

Sorry if this was already answered (I did a quick search and found no mention of it,) but is there a skill (carpentry, sewing, survival, etc...) that is used in calculating the quality of a bed?
