You're wrong, the LP change mainly affects longtime players who, if they die, could still crawl back up faster then a completely new character.

Glad to hear lembas was removed.
The new mechanic sounds interesting but none of the prayers do anything for me as a non hunter / non PVPer so I'll just keep waiting for better farming and bigger buildings

Wow, we put off animal domestication for this? I mean, it doesn't really add much to the game other than new ways to exploit strength and new motivations for streamlining the practice of the dark arts. I've been really wanting to make fine cheese, but now I'm just going to eat Bangers, plow the ground, drink dirty water, and repeat over and over again. Meh.

Nope, we put off animal domestication because that requires the new inventories, which have yet to be implemented.
