My questions got buried.

1. Do personal claims supersede village claim?
2. Are raids no longer possible since mousewheeling items out of cupboards basically will kill everyone?

It's mostly because Battery and Murder are kinda "involuntary". The action that caused them can't really be cancelled just because the perpetrator would run out of HP. Not so much so with assault.

I dunno how many scents you plan to leave, but 1 HHP for one doesn't sound all that much to me. :)

For the record, the reason for the change is not so much because of any intended game mechanic, but simply to introduce some kind of cost for leaving scents. The bug A.D. used the other day to lag the server was precisely to leave bajillions of scents, in order to make the server run out of memory.

It will be just -64 hhp, average combat character has over 700, so I doubt that will be a problem. Still, would be funny to see nearly dead looting raiders and incoming party of defenders with full hhp.
And I'm afraid major factions will just make thousands of 900 const alts to loot on the raids.
