Game Development: Inventories.

Postby jorb » Sun Nov 22, 2009 7:18 am

We've been developing tonight, and here's what's new.

We've fixed the inventories. This has a few general repercussions.

1) Crime scents decay.

2) You no longer drag items to equip them in the hotbelt. Simply left click to hold them, and then left click again on the hotbelt slot. You'll get the hang of it. Hotbelted stuff is now plenty more useful, as hotkeys are now remembered as long as you have the item (You could put a water flask there, for example).

And some other stuff.

3) You can now craft a seedbag. Look under clothmaking. It's pretty nice.

4) All metal conversions are now loss free (Nuggets, coins, bars).

5) Arrows will jump straight into your quiver if you pick them up. Seeds will jump into seedbags. Seeds will not jump into seedbags if there is already another type of seed in the bag. You can plant using the bag directly.

Seed bags sounds pretty cool. ground work for key rings perhaps?

Nothing major but nothing unwelcome either

I'm very excited for both of these. They may be minor, but we still appreciate it.

So, now when I make metal nuggets, I'm getting 10 instead of 7 or 8?

Key ring, flour sack, phial of ethereal holding, snuff box and purse are all drawn and ready, but loftar is tired. ;)
