Please do. :)

Why exclude them? They would be a nice addition to the otherwise boring mining.

I meant please do add them. Not exclude them.

Love the way this guy thinks. Pure, undiluted genius.

Is there any way we could get an animated image of what camera panning/circling looks like? Or a video?

(Or is that even a thing?)
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

And trade. Though some gemstones can also be found in rivers.

Someone mentioned clothing dyes. Now that would be interesting.

The social aspect is also important. The ability to hide ourselves as newbies or imply that we're from a certain faction already happen in the game, giving people the ability to create a visual cue for that isn't terrible. Survival is more than hunting boars. =)

So was ultima online. Being a survival game doesn't mean it has to have purple people everywhere. There's only so much graphic mods can do.

People have been doing with Ghraphic mods already in custom clients. If it can be in game as a luxury item and to help factions well have a set color. It add a layer that is in game from the start. The point is its a high end, end game thing that even affects low end players... if people fear those in blue tunics... donning one would be a blessing and a good way to die... looking fancy does not stop you from dieing in a survival game... just makes your corpse look better lol. Plus I can see someone thats how they do a busness on here selling dyes they have made or clothing they used them on. Its a comadity, not everyone would want to go and pick daisies all day to dye something yellow...

It wasn't that much of a survival game. Sure, it has dying tubs for pretty much every in game item. But, food doesn't need to be eaten, nor water drunk. Also, you would be surprised how many people in that game wear the same gear in the same color my friend.
