The only person who left scents at codexia, besides kLauE, is dead. It was a weak cheap murder alt NaoWhut 1-hit. I don't think anyone is tracking kLauE. Of course, I'd say as much even if they were.

The intention was not to track the person but to show that the scent use count decays, rather than the scent just vanishing at once after said time.

Indeed. Now that i think about it

3) removes the last attackers advantage there was and adds so many ways of exploiting it, thus killing economy since you can never be sure when you trade something. Good job.

Make the item known that it's stolen
until the scent decays? sort of like a
stench on the blade of a sword that
everyone can smell until the smell goes
away?

This weekend I slaughtered and plucked a few RL cocks, and if it is one thing those feathers do, it is sticking to your fingers - real nice touch of realism there!

I'm not sure just what you're referring to here, but if you think that you can be force summoned by possessing a stolen item, then don't worry; you cannot.

warrri wrote:Are you speaking of the full stack (about 40 after a freshly done murder) or each single scent from that stack?

I think you've misunderstood the mechanics. It isn't a "stack" of scents; it is one scent with 40 uses. The scent itself decays either after two in-game weeks, or after its use-count has been depleted. One could argue that the use-count should decay over time, but that's another question.

Are you REALLY sure on this.. picking up the scents yesterday i had a scent with 30 uses, or a stack of 30 scents at once, no difference.
Picking them up now (about 24 hours later) its 23 each stack, after droppiung them out of inventory and picking them up again its still 23, so they dont get used up from the "stack" on the ground.

I had the same after goons raided my town. When i picked them up it was 11 scents per theft stack, a day later only 3 per stack, while the ones in containers didnt decay. And no, no one picked those scents beside me.

Yes, sweetie, when you harvest them from the clue object, that is indeed how it would look. I, however, am talking about scents once they are harvested. You do get fewer scent uses from old clues, but a scent once harvested does not lose uses over time. It decays completely per the time table I posted.

No, this kills whatever scrap of trade was left btw. I t will happenuntil newbies catchon. The only safety anyone has right now is to be hidden. There is no authority in the world that will arbitrate justice. And if you want to point out Xanadu's Lack of assisting me because I betrayed them this is impertinent. They couldn't even if they were willing (or even existed).

Also, pointed question. If I buy, say, silk thread, or linen and craft/build it to something else is the new item trackable by the scent?
