Quick question will the server handle 2.000 people dropping shit on the ground that will never despawn ?? :|

If it is stockpiles that make you ask this question, then people are already doing the same thing with construction objects, so I don't see that there would be a difference (except stockpiles are, if anything, easier on the server than consobjs are).

Also note that stockpiles are different from simply dropping things, as stockpiles (just like consobjs) have bounding boxes, unlike just dropping things. If you just drop something, it will still despawn in time.

Speaking of stockpiles and construction objects not being usable as such any longer, I made these short clips of how building normally and with stockpiles works.

Normally:

Yes i meant stockpiles but i also saw normal items laying on the ground like swords and saws so the swords wil despawn if i just left it on the ground

That's pretty cool. Is building from stockpiles based on the paved area it was on or is it a proximity thing?

Loftar I saw the grinder took items from the stockpiles. Will it take from any stockpile or just he ones nearest it? If it takes from any we have a problem as we may want quality items first.

In the second video clip he built the meat grinder from the stockpiles. I wanted to know if it will draw from only the nearest ones or any stockpile on the ground.
