Game is almost playable. Give us a few more months. ;)

Merry Xmas!

I look forward to your next preview of the game almost being done next Christmas.

After 2 years of living through your delays Lorbtar.........I'll believe it when I see it.

It looks fine except for the 2-D and a shit combat system. Why do you hate movement during combat so much?

Great ,thank yu Jorb N Loftar ,much better than Salem is

We miss you over on Salem Sabi. Can you at least give the wiki over to Mereni for her to manage? It hasn't been updated in months.

I don't know what you think "more in the year to come" means, but you might be a bit confused

Video looks awesome but:

Is it Salem engine or better optimised one?
Cause if it'll be the same as salem..gg

Start the game = lots of fps
Build a town(some buildings and few walls) and try playing in it = 3-9fps on 2GHz cpu (fps from your debug mode loftar '-d') and lots of 'hickups'(freezes) every 1-4sec for 0.3-0.5sec.
A bit better after swapping to 64bit java but not that much.
(edit: i tried playing salem on some worse gfx cards but it was the same. It's cpu issue. Same fps on 3870 and a bit less 3200. CPU usage for one core is at max all the time)
More buildings (especially walls) = much worse.

I know I could change CPU but what about better code optimization? :|

gpu is ati 7870
ram is not an issue either for salem (4gb 1066mhz)

What I'm asking is: will it be less cpu hungry than salem or even more ? If its the same as salem i wont even try it cause what for if i have to stop when i get more developed in game.
More cpu hungry? k gg.
Less cpu hungry? might try it and see for myself

Me trying to play salem in my town:

It is generally intended to be light enough to make people not require lighthacks. As long as the server can't strictly enforce it, darkness as limitation is pretty pointless anyway.

But if you made it so the server only sent the client objects that have enough light on them to "see", it would be really cool 8-)

What the guy above me said,
the graphics look amazing, but the novelty soon wears off after playing on 3-6 fps which is what I currently get with haven.
it would also be nice to not have the client chew up 100% of available cpu with no difference in performance whether I use a single cpu or all., sometimes I like to listen to music or watch videos while I'm playing.

aside from that great work and I look forward to the beta.

I'm very interested to see how ranged combat turns out.
