I think you misunderstood me.
They *are* doing the updates just before going to sleep now, and they've always done so.
This is a problem, because every new update brings new bugs, which crashes the server;
most often quite soon, during their sleeping hours.
This is why (to my knowledge) companies do their updates when their working day *starts*.
I see only one good reason for doing it like J&L, and that is that they have plenty of feedback by the time they wake up.

So you see; they could be doing *more*! :)

sorry failing to see how this helps newbs, the ants hurt more than when i have attacked rams, foxes and deer, those all only did 1 hhp dmg
i tried raiding a nest and tried killing the ants and i lost half my hhp in seconds

mind you i don't really know how to fight ...because...im a newb

Yeah, I, too, wasn't too sure about all that HHP damage on noobs, but Jorb insisted it was a good idea, so I went along with him. Without it, the ants would make good target practice for newbs.

edit : if the horseraddish is in, then it might be not so bad I guess. I guess its a good way to kill off my chars too and then restart at a new place, dont want to waste time to get enough lp for swimming (havent tried it tho).

How is ant quality determined? All the ants I've found have been q32, regardless of the local soil quality.

yes i established recently in irc chat that im not going to be getting anymore wool any time soon so i guess ill have to go wade into the swamp and spend a few weeks with leaches hanging off me
