Mini-feature: New camera mode

Postby loftar » Thu Feb 04, 2010 3:57 pm

Hi all,

There's a new camera mode in the client. Please try ":cam clicktgt" and tell me what you think about it. For my part, I like it a lot so far when just walking around, but I'm not quite as convinced by its utility when doing finer manipulations with containers and the like (though I don't find it terrible either).

Oh, and by the way; the number keys should work with radial menus for items as well now.

It says there's no such camera mode for me.

Indeed. And if you're using Pacho's client, you'll need to wait until he merges the camera mode.

what about the existing camera modes? everytime i leave my mansion my character is in the top corners of the screen. everytime i leave a building i have to type :cam fixed or else i cannot see anything. this happens about 50% of the time or more.

You can use the middle mouse button (click mousewheel, if you have one) to drag the camera frame around, but this something I've noticed and it doesn't make sense.

Or maybe it's just with Pacho's client? I don't really use the normal one much.
Come back two hours earlier.

Its been happening with consistency on my client since loftar made the client remember the camera mode. I'm not sure why, but I haven't really looked at the code anyways.
