Forum Management: A Plea for Moderation

A quick skim of your recent posting history leads to such wonderful comments and threads such as:

You're really grasping at straws here. 90% of the posts on the forums are as bad or worse than those.

And I go pack to pain, who just cursed and me and overall beat me down. Would you like me to link you to 40+ comments made by pain that resemble the one he aimed at me? Im simply saying overall, and somewhat along the lines of jones, its simply unfair that im being looked down apon.

I apologize if the quality of forum posts overall appears to retain a low value but I really was not grasping at straws there. Popfor has demonstrated time and time again in the past that he has no problem poking and agitating mods and other players for the fun of it. This does not mean that he will net bans on sight but it does mean that mods may have a shorter fuse with him than others. This also does not mean that anyone is monitoring his posts or looking for every little trip up. He gets the same treatment as everyone else.

This has not been a matter of banning him from nothing. He has a long history of warnings and minor bans that have added up to justify longer bans. Frankly, the only thing that has been suggested so far is that more people should get bans for their actions on the forum. I really don't see that as a positive defense in favor of popfor in the slightest nor does it make me retract any of my prior statements.

Your saying that people shouldn't get banned on these forums? Maybe if you were a bit stricter with everyone here, and not just targeting people that other people generally hate for things that weren't breaking the rules to begin with, you could result in a 'higher quality forum'.

I'll be blunt; I came here to discuss qualms you had over your interactions with moderation. You attacked my comment in particular for being unfounded. I backed it up with more than ample evidence to which your only reply has been, 'Ban other people.' Welcome back popfor but you obviously have no intention of actually having anything addressed.

The ban 'slip' simply said "popfor" and that I was banned for a month, with no explanation whatsoever. Then I came to you simply talking. And for pming you directly you banned me for "ban evasion".

reminder: posting on an alt when you're banned = permabanned alt and an IP ban for the duration of your ban.

IMO ban evasion should be automatic permaban, with no possibility of parole.
