The Aztecs, and especially the Incans, built their empires off of using potatoes to feed people. The Incans had a population of around 4 million people (or possibly 37 million, depends, between 4 and 37 million people), all fed off of potatoes and corn.

Fried Potatoes- Needs a skillet, onions, and potatoes.
Baked Potatoes- Just needs a campfire (It's possible to simply bury them in the earth and ash beneath the fire). "Default" cooking method.
Chips/Fries/Crisps- Needs an oven. Cooks up into nice, salty potato chips.

Don't go disparagin' my potatoes.

So, What does California Lettuce DO anyway?
Surprise.

Yeah, I have to say the horse art isn't the greatest. Body is too big (or maybe the horse overall needs to be bigger), with a bit narrower nose maybe.

I don't eat many potatoes, how could I know? Mainly I was trying to learn new recipes.

EDIT: No wait, actually I eat lots of potatoes, but it's been months since I ate a baked one.

EDIT EDIT: And I don't radiate ignorance. (I used to though.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Hey, I just got Swimming! I'm gonna try it out!

Potatoes are great in stews and soups. There's also potato bread. Vodka.

also I'm kind of curious what time period h&h is supposed to be set in, because tobacco is an american plant.

I still think that um, Gandalf was not smoking tobacco. Note in the movies how Sauron sez "Your fondness for the halfling's weed has damaged your mind." Nobody says your mind is damaged by ciggies, yo.
