I have a bad feeling I just lost even more crap than I already did...
(Seriously, I lost four WI, six cast iron, my pickaxe, and my miner's helmet... although my soldier's helm got duped. I suspect the helmet will have magically disappeared again, though.)
(Although, since I was the hirdsman we were testing with, I suppose I can't really blame anyone but myself. Well, me and Hamel. Mostly Hamel.)

Edit: God dammit.

There was a bug in hird summonging, indeed (or rather, with a piece of code infrastructure that I created in relation to it, but yeah...). It should be fixed now. And no, you cannot summon hirdsmen who are off-line. :)

You need vandilism to even look in a container in a village area.

No, that should not be the case. Are you sure that you've turned on the Criminal Acts toggle? (It's always turned off by default when you log in)

yep, I'm pretty sure it was on but i'll trust you, and just say I made a mistake. I'm busy killing myself with leeches at the moment.

Yeah. You need vandilism to interact with any objects on a claim period. It just says THAT LAND IS OWNED BY (NAME). Whenever you try to open them or do anything.

I guess thats the end of thieving and griefing for now.

I just tried it myself. I haven't bought Vandalism yet, and I had no trouble stealing stuff. I still suspect that you have forgotten to turn criminal acts on. It should say "Criminal acts are now turned on" when you do.

Turned it on and off, tried a lot. Its fine I'm going to take a break from crime I don't necessarily need to get into peoples stuff anymore.

I can't seem to interact with the village idol to become the Lawspeaker =/

-edit- oh wait... would that character need the lawspeaking skill?...
