Ok, for a second I was afraid in order to build a wall we'd have to have a giant supply of metal.

Remember how I said we needed palisades a month ago?

There you are. Another good one from Jorb and Loftar.

[02:31] <Malicus> Actually, it's more like it destroyed his pants.
[02:31] <WorkerDrone> Even more kinky.

Oh man, wine :D
Now all we need is beer, and the game may as well be finished.

Awesomest update ever, guys!

*edit*
A question about future development - what are the chances of getting cellars or brick buildings soon? I find myself short of space in my cabin, and I'm a bit reluctant to massacre a forest for a new wine cabin if we'll get something better soon. Don't worry, I'm not asking for any promises, I just want your best guess.

Also useful for city-planning would be to know if the current gates will be updated so they can let carts pass, or will we get new cart gates which we should reserve space for.

Oh yeah, I hope that wine isn't planned to be all the same. Maybe different effects (whatever the effects are) from different wines. It could depend on time of day that wine was harvested, how long it was let to sit in barrel, how old it is and maybe some wine maintenance is in order (there's a lot of that involved in wine-making). I want to be a wine snob :P

And don't forget the type of wood the barrels are made out of. ;)

Any chance locks might be addable to cabin doors in the near future? Building a wall around a cabin just to seal it off seems wasteful.

Guh. Evidently an update / crash / whatever undid the fueling of my crucibles. And they were so close to done. ._.

Anyway, I'm quite enthused to see we've got booze, of all things, implemented. That's almost as awesome as the walls.

I gather vinegar will be useful for something, and that there is (or will be) some method of long-term wine storage? It'd be nifty to pull out a bottle weeks or months from now and say that this was one of the first vintages ever produced on Hearth. (Even cooler to drag 'em across map resets!)

Also, after coming fully awake enough to consider the implications, I am ecstatic that there's now an aesthetically pleasing way to make a fence along the east/west line. My OCD thanks you.

Glad to see this update, not so glad about cost of the walls hehe, I now regret turning all that wrought iron into steel :P. My local forest wont enjoy this much.

A question for either J&L or anyone who has tried, after building the corner post how many blocks does a segment cost?

Edit: Seems its 3 blocks to expand and 10 for a new corner post.
