It is possible to load troughs with shift+rightclick.

No, you can load seeds from you inventory into a trough with shift+rightclick, or are we talking about something else here?

so i opened the "menu" of the through by rightclicking.
if i understand you correctly i would transfer my seeds from inv to through by just shift-rightclicking my seeds
doesn't work for me... could it be a feature of pacho's client?

left click a seed. shift+rightclick on the trough.

you can also plant and fuel things this way.
