Do you have any other heart fire in your claimed and palisaded land, than yours and your friends? Though a single character must have had a huge inventory to take all then simply logout. Whatever chest or cabinet or wheelbarrow one carries when he goes offline, does not go offline with him and gets set on the ground, visible to anyone, like you, for example.

Also, do note that there is a skill called lock-picking. I do not know, though, how does it work on claimed locked gates. It should definitely leave scents, if it works.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

No, only my alt's Hearth Fire, which has no keys and is not used at all is inside. The entire area with even more is claimed, with entire palisade covering it. And lockpick works only if you have trespassing on a claimed area, with carrying the cabinet too as well. I saw a forum post detailing how a guy sprung inside a palisaded wall before the server shutdown happened, so I'm wondering if it's because of that.

I think posting a pic of your base with the claim-view on would help. Another guy a couple weeks ago had no idea how he was being raided until he noticed he had an unclaimed spot that let people ditch visitor, could be you're having a similar problem.
Total misplay.

Do you by any chance have a Hearth of the Woods next to your claim?

*heart

Or any localized resource for that matter. Claiming, walling or otherwise asserting ownership of any LR is highly frowned upon, could be the reasoning for the thefts at least.

How'd you guess that? Tho my claim doesn't go up to the thing. And people can can still go up to it without a problem. And that can't really be an issue, since people have bases near Ancient Windthrows, Salt Basins, etc.

Well here's the base. As I've explained before, the claim doesn't go up to the Heart, all gates have locks, no visitor gates and all Hearth Fires belong to me, my friend and my alt. My friend hasn't played and I've asked him and trust him with the keys, still with him (He's too dumb to be able to make new ones, introduced him to the game).

There’s nothing that immediately strikes me as wrong from what I can see. Visitor gates are important because if someone did have a key to your place that works for a normal gate they can easily walk inside and provided they have the necessary criminal skills, do whatever they want. A visitor gate helps prevent this since even if someone has a key if it only opens a visitor gate they still will get visitor walking through and be prevented from leaving any scents.

So, if you are truly certain it’s not your friend either stealing or wasting things then someone has a key to your place and you’ve either inadvertently given access to someone that should not have it or you cannot see their scents. You also need a better gate setup that allows you to enter and exit your palisade through an air lock with only a slave key that makes use of both normal and visitor gates. I doubt you’ve overlooked this but you should ensure your gates do indeed have locks on them by trying to open without a key or applying your gate master key to a new lock and using it on the gate again.

Otherwise, was the cabinet outside or in a cave? They can decay pretty quick if they aren’t in a house.

The cabinet was inside the house. And didn't know about visitor gate thing, however the airlocked gates I was planning to do only when I expanded my base and not now. Increase stats, get skills, resources, etc. All that. Everything's a mess anyway inside, as you can tell. And no, my friend hasn't done so, 100%.

Edit: Also I've checked my locks and they were still there. Changed them a while ago again.
