Welcome to Gloria, my first economic experiment.

Hello my name is Moonie and I love to build stuff and while I was building as a Hermit I discovered my Village Core System.
This system is really useful but was too resource draining for a lonely hermit like me, but this system is perfect for a large villages.
It is basically a mass storage that is connected with barter stands in a way that makes it really easy to use and manage.
My goal is to be the village banker, the caretaker of the core and manager of finances, to create my economic experiment.
Now for this, I will need people... a lot at some point.

I am trying to make a community that will use a common, low quality, metal currency to improve item sorting and management of items,
as well mass produce curiosities and food that will be sold at reasonable prices to all our members, creating a stable economy.

The goal is to create something like a reward system, where people can do what they love and get paid for it.
Anything you collect or produce can be bought by the village, processed and resold, you can buy the food, curios and equipment you need.
So you can focus on your character development, like socialize, credo quests, stats, learning point etc.

Another thing I want, is to give anyone the possibility to join our village, by having something like a Rank system. Where members can increase their rank by buying it,
so they have something to save up for. I have not yet figured out all the details how this will work, so I am open for suggestions about it.
This way new members are not given complete trust, but are still given the ability to use and work for our system so they can prove themselves.

What we looking for right now, is around 4 founding members who are also interested in helping to build a community like this.
While I am building the village core, I need some assistance to run the village, collecting resources, hunt, mine, farming etc.
As the village core gets more and more complete all jobs around the village will get a lot easier and food and curios will be more available.

Once we have the system up and running we can start to recruit a lot of new members.
Would love to get a loyal community for the next world that can help rebuild this,
or even have people use this idea for their own villages, because I think this would improve
Haven & Hearth for everyone who inspire to run their own village at some point.

You'll have to price every item you produce, mind you. Would join if I didn't have a village of my own. This is the shit Haven was made for.

Godspeed Gloria, will be watching with interest.
Boofing and gumping it all damn day. Shoutout to my homeboy Moloch

Once it is up and running you can come and check it out with an alt, maybe you can join in the next world with your friends.
I want this village to be as large as possible, the more people we have the more fun we can have.

I am planning in the far future to hold large feasts with a charisma titan and minimum prices for food during these times.
PvP tournaments in an arena, with an amazing price, would be epic, it would be even more epic
if we could arrange betting on these tournaments with a gambling system.

I might be thinking too big for my own good, but thinking small was never my thing.

How do you plan to to manage internal / external market?
Just a general question, such problems plague most multiplayer social, city building, economy and similar games where resource management matters (including time, people, not just materials).

What happens when the villagers (eventually, they will) obtain all they need in terms of HQ tools, equipment, and become already self-sufficient? How would you keep the supply chain, and internal trades going?
At some point - earlier than expected, the village will definitely have to rely on external trades, mostly around consumables - e.g. selling HQ curios, destructibles like armor, or things like silk/steel/cheese that are just generally slow and boring to produce. Most of the trade would be aimed at external buyers - how will that interfere with the internal distribution of wealth?

Seems interesting, but at some point it will probably turn into a shared-resources system for food, tools, and mostly all consumables - internally. Why not just start like that from the beginning, to speed things up, and focus on gathering or hunting or mining early, just for external market, and just have trusted people with access to HQ stuff, but somewhat-HQ available to everyone for free (excess food & curios included)?

SlicingtheMoon,

If you're still working on setting this up, send me a PM. I am potentially interested in joining.
