But ofc. This LP system is meant for you to wait several hours and then log back in to finally buy that skill you want to sandbox with. I might aswell play a facebook game.

Just wanted to mention that I never said anything about 2 hours. I only used the term "several". 2 hours is probably really impossible. I maybe have a total of 6 hours playing time and got 10 exploration plus several useful skills like boatbuilding.

Science has proven the new system gets getting 10 exploration in a couple hours to be false.
pro-new system people - 0
anti-new system people - 1
People who just play and test it out - 99

And we're done! The premise was tested. Good luck with ants, mediocre luck with dandelions and pretty bad luck with pinecows. After about the one hour mark, almost all the bootstrap LP was consumed and I spent the second hour almost entirely wandering aimlessly around a forest. Playing with multiple people would unlikely have made much of a difference (unless you had a dedicated survivalist generating cows and pulling up ants) unless they were already well established, and in that event I think it's a moot point. In the end, I had carpentry, lumberjacking, foraging, fishing, hunting, 7 exploration and about 500 LP. That was after two hours of concentrated play on a new character.

If I am "right" or "wrong" is largely irrelevant. This is data. I hope it is of some use to the developers in improving the game and to forum warriors trying to win arguments. In either event, I doubt I'll be playing the game again until things change.

Have a good night, and thanks for watching. :)

Ok, you have won and you even taught me something today. That "a couple" always means 2 and cannot mean "a few". Nice work and thanks.
