equipt your axe, move to the nearest tree and chop it down, chop the stump for the blocks and make shoes, dont go to the log, thats an extra 2-5tiles of walking you cant risk.

after that get a 4-leaf clover and feed it to a wild sheep(whatever the fuck its name is) and shear it for wool. then wiki on how you turn that into bandage and use it. cant chew everything for ya:D

I wanted to try my hand at killing an animal by hand, i figured foxes best to try first - however, i wasn't anywhere near ready, lol, i was still realy new then.
