Yeah, I know that jorb and loftar developed H&H around the concept of a self-regulating life-like sandbox, and they are doing an awesome work.

I talked about consequences. I suggested in another thread a Bad/Good Karma attitude slider, out of player control, that penalizes criminal actions with a reduction on LP upon reincarnation. This should make some players think twice before abusing others.

Edit:

I think you are talking about another different game. Currently, H&H is as hard or easy as your neighbours want it to be.

Really? Because my neighbors started griefing me and my village from day 1... Somehow, the only deaths we have had is because of dumb decisions... NOT because of other people.

Maybe we just know how to play the game, and protect ourselves...

What do you think that I'm trying to do? I can't do anything besides sitting in my cabin until the guy logs off, and if I'm having bad luck there could be another one sitting next to my wall, I can't protect myself nor my friends can, it's not that the guie says :" Learn Rage and other combat abilities, because some neighbours could become a pain in the ass and try to kill you and your friends." And I understand it's a part of the game, but it's the lame ass moral of the people doing it, give newbies a chance for once.

You have been very lucky then, because half my friends (5 people) got killed from day 1. And yes, we got a pallisade and know how to defend ourselves.

Burningham, the self-congratulatory veteran circlejerk is just getting started here. Hurry or there won't be anything left to choke down!

it could simply be someone new that bears an irrational hatred for players he has never interacted with before in any shape or form! 8-)
