Ah, do not worry about me Everyone around here is jackasses.Can't leave anything out for five minute without being stolen. Really is a pain having to lock out all the villagers when I go to sleep because I cannot find metal but oh well, such I life.

I mean they have raided a few villages. You could be killed, not just stolen from.

Since your village is probably next to the water they'll eventually find out your location and either steal from you, grief you, kill you, or all of the above. Living on an island won't save you, so the best advice I can give is moving really far away from there.
