Game dead?

Postby blazsword » Sun Oct 03, 2010 7:50 pm

Hi.. Been awhile now since i've played the game. So i logged inside and check the kin list. I mean have alout people that are very active on this game and some of them have been away for like 3 weeks or 2 months. Maybe more. Anyway. I notice the place been decaying alout and some of the things have been destroyed of decay i guess and even griegor the dude who is like always active on the game havent been on since 2 weeks ago. But that i wonder the most.. Is the game pretty much dead? Beacus it is in my option.

Yeah and seeing any of them is pretty much 1% chance of doing that.

Burg is absolutely correct here, you are judging the whole of the game based on your small social circle. Yes, your friends have become inactive and Griegor had a schedule change due to changes in real life situations that have caused him to effectively quit for now; this in no way represents the whole of the world. Since the day decay was implemented, there has been decay in this world even in active settlements so it is a bad way to gauge activity as you are doing.

There effectively is no way to determine what everyone is doing in the game as the forums, irc, and any given community cannot provide a realistic sample population to this. The point being that your opinion is moot and easily disproven despite your adamant need to cling to it. The world is a large, bustling place with many active and semi-active players growing and developing for each player that has quit or gone inactive. Sure, we're about 100 people shorter than we were three months ago but this also means the server does not perpetually rage-quit on us when we hit 350-400 people online. I for one enjoy the reduced lagg and crashing.

Yes ofcourse i do know the world is a fucking large place and it sure do take time to travel to other grids and how the hell could i know that about griegor? Sure i would checked his forum if i knew the address. The player base is still small and meeting any of those 300 players online is just random luck or if you deiced to meet up with the player. I know J&L server can't handle to have alout of players and it depends on the players donateing money for a better server. Thought even if they had a better server it would still be like 300 players max. Unless they had adds all over the internet.

I think 300 people is perfect for the world size, you can go a day seeing no one (which is a good thing). If I saw 50 people a day like in other mmo's then I am sure some of them would try kill me for the lulz. So right now its perfect imo.

Did you expect everyone in your kin list to still be playing the same game after a month?

You might be different, but some of us get bored after a while.

An entire month? Preposterous!
