But I really really can't ass myself to log in. It's because players are way ahead of me, and my friends refuse to even try the game for that reason. I also believe that all the mines in the game are pretty much captured, so that isn't an option. The only chance I have is to join an existing village, but that doesn't seem very fun to me.

They're not going to make a new world just because a few players don't want to join a village. And there are still unclaimed mines out there, especially in caves. And even if a mine is claimed (so that you cannot find it with rustroot) it doesn't mean that it is used. So you could just travel a bit until you stumble upon an unused one.

Not to mention that there won't be a world reset until the fundamental changes they're developing right now are finished.

tl;dr: Accept this world or play something else.

Steps for a noob to join the game.

Step 1: Spawn a character in wild, maybe with some friends, or some other people who want to start playing as well. This is the part where you learn most, or at least the basics.

Step 2: You join an existing (more advanced) village and learn more 'perfected' skills and basically get resources you couldn't use before. You can also try to make your own village into a stronger more evolved village. By this I mean, have a mine and people start to specialise in what they like to do most.

There will always be players way ahead of you, even if you start at the beginning of the world, after a couple of days Sodom already had 2 iron mines, whilst 95% of the 'regular' players were still chillin' and buildin' houses.

Also, if you are going to start playing in world 4, you're going to have to learn everything which will obviously already put you way behind even the noob villages who have played in World 3. So 'starting' a game in World 4 is a really dumb idea if your goal is to be on the same tier as regular players.

Don't misread what I'm saying. I've already played alot, me and some friends started a village and came pretty far, not brick walls or tamed animals but close. Either way, we couldn't access any high level resources because they were all claimed, and when two people from the village broke into the mine and took some ore, they got killed by some wandering ranger-faggot. This is not a rage-quit, we started over and the same thing happened again, with one more casualty. In the end none of us wanted to continue playing just because some stupid griefer boys and no unclaimed resources.

48 strength, 30 mm, 22 char, that's the best I've got unfortunately - my friends didn't enjoy playing as much as I did.


I love stealing, I don't really care about dying. I love the "hardcore" aspect of the game, I just wish it was more "even" you know, less of a difference between levels. I also love the survival aspect and the growing, and sandbox feel about it.
