Anyone know about chat?

Well, Having recently figured this out by going through the forums, i want to share this with you.
Apparently, If you Press Ctrl+C , A "Chat" window appears, which should be global chat. Im not sure if its friends only, or not. (Think its actually global.)
I know some of you know this, but i couldnt find this info in any easy way.

I also like miranda, because it can take XMPP notifications. (pidgin might also)
