Postby troyboy1 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:32 pm

Hi I just wanted to thank all the wonderful people on this forum who troubleshooted me through the process of making this game work. I'd just like to say me and my girl are extremely happy with this game and are currently using the wiki. I have to say even with the wiki we are a bit lost LOL. animals are hard to find and daddy wants to makes some string and get some bones, darn it!

String: taproot and nettles count as string (nettles can't be used for fishing line, tho).

Animals: much more plentiful during the day.

The game is not set in real time is it? I mean how long is a 24hr day in Hearth?

From http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Day/Night_Cycle:
The Day/Night cycle in Haven & Hearth is a full 24 hours. Although 3 times faster. Effectively this means that a full in-game 24 hours is 8 real hours. Day is four real-life hours, while night is the same.

I promise, the search function on the wiki really does work ;)

Nah, you're not being an idiot - just couldn't resist the chance to tweak you a bit :) The issue with the wiki is (mostly) just knowing what to search for; if you don't have any clue where to start/what to search for, just post in the "How Do I" board and be prepared for some (usually) good-natured ribbing ...along with the answer. As the wiki is a community project, there will inevitably be information missing (sling q formula anyone...?)

I find it amazing how few threads like this there are.

I'm curious, is this a proven fact?
