Boar inside my cabin?

I'm a n00b. I saw a boar lurking about my hearth fire after I came back from exploring a bit, so I went into my cabin and logged out.

After about an hour or so, I logged back in. The game wouldn't let me resume from where I logged out. Thought that was odd, but meh. So I logged in at my hearth fire.

Most of my stuff is gone. My drying rack with furs, my tanning tub, my dreamcatcher, a bunch of baskets with random crap in them. All gone. One of my crop tiles is now paved (despite there also being a crop there). Odd. Both baskets in my boat are gone. So I figure I got raided by another player while I was offline or something.

I open my cabin, and there's a dead boar in the middle where my bed used to be. The bed is gone. My cabinets are untouched (thankfully).

So I guess I'm wondering... what the heck happened? Did another player raid me and toss a boar into my cabin? Did the boar break all my stuff and bust into my cabin, only to die? Or what?

Can you pick up a whole boar carcass? I didn't think you could. And, even so, why would someone do that (and not steal the stuff I had inside the cabin)?

Yes, you can pick up a whole boar. Sounds like they broke all of your stuff for fun and left a boar just for the sake of it. People have strange motivations, Sarchi is likely right when he says boredom.
