a wonderous journey

Postby homsikpanda » Mon Mar 28, 2011 9:28 pm

so i spawn in an area a bazzillion miles away from my friend, and set off on an adventure to try and get to them, it took me a good 6-7 hours of irl travelling by boat, and carrying my boat over land, heading due north east as a the crow flys until i finally figured out where i was. (which was roughly x= 10 y = -40 )
still a long way off from my friend but atleast i know the way.

when i first spawned i created a little camp, has a wall, a leanto a tanning bed, and most importantly a a rune stone that read
"somasi's camp. somasi was here!!"

kudos to anybody who can find my camp , it was roughly due east from a swamp built next to a hill.

if anybody finds it an they give me the map cords, i'm really curious about just exactly how much distance i've travelled!

Strange, you make it sound as though he was complaining!

Sounds like he had a great time.

wasnt intended, just my language barrier :?
definitly a nice aspect of the game, though i prefer it the other way round (spawning with friends, scouting far beyond that spot)

enjoy! ;)

get some hunting skills and gear (aka sling and marksmanship at ~20) - i you havent already
hunting is really nice while scouting/on journey

(ah well, but dont get killed please - always use a boat, stay away from animalrange and dont underestimate lag)

i've done the same large trip on w 4. Started with some friend, some of the was too much stupid to let us survive few days, so me and a little group leaved the village and went nord of one grid. But then some russian, probably noob, tryet to scary us with weird request....well...boring. We knew a village friend on the other side of the world map...we traveled there walking. XDD
Two days.
But it was funny!
