Fishing?

So, it's quite fun. but I have a stupid yet slightly humorous story to tell. I have titled this story "A day in the life of an H&H addict".

So, today I spent $50+ on fishing equipment (IRL). Got my freshwater and trout licenses. And so I go to a rather popular fishing spot in my area called the "green hole", great fishing according to most people I've heard from.

My ass. I sat for 5 hours trying to fish. when suddenly it clicked. I can go home and play H&H and catch as many damn fish as I want

I have no life.
I possibly have no soul.
And I have way too much time on my hands.

Really, because the last time I went fishing, I caught 7 trout in less than an hour, while my friend caught two in the same ammount of time... all luck I guess.

but on a side note, i caught 12 perch in 13 minutes. you can't beat that.

I admit, I got a kick out of the first time I caught a sturgeon.

I'd been catching 1x1 stuff, brill, perch, etc, then HOLY SHIT THAT'S A BIG FISH in my inventory.

this thread made me sad. the last time I went fishing was with my grandpa. we went to a place near a trout hatchery. we got lots of fish that day...

i agree there. there are many tricks and tips that you can only learn from good fishers at the scene.

also, my now-deceased father always told me never to talk/walk too loud and never to wear white clothes when fishing certain kinds from shallows. fish are smarter than you think and they can see/hear you from within the water. that is how pros can sometimes fail showing how to fish on tv, camera crews and interviewers often screw things up.

i really miss delicious fishy my father used to bring every weekend. there was another trick to keep fish fresh and nice, which makes them smell less and much tastier, and none of his fishing friends managed to learn it well enough. many hobby fishermen care about fishing as many as possible and never care about how to make it better for eating afterwards. (and im too helpless for fishing sadly, cant deal with baits.)

Eclipse/Gold Spoon Lure/25 PSY, 10 Black. Half quality if not cooked over a crucible.

It also seems that using pepper on it seems to have no effect, might be a bug. however i could have just not noticed
