i agree there. there are many tricks and tips that you can only learn from good fishers at the scene.
also, my now-deceased father always told me never to talk/walk too loud and never to wear white clothes when fishing certain kinds from shallows. fish are smarter than you think and they can see/hear you from within the water. that is how pros can sometimes fail showing how to fish on tv, camera crews and interviewers often screw things up.
i really miss delicious fishy my father used to bring every weekend. there was another trick to keep fish fresh and nice, which makes them smell less and much tastier, and none of his fishing friends managed to learn it well enough. many hobby fishermen care about fishing as many as possible and never care about how to make it better for eating afterwards. (and im too helpless for fishing sadly, cant deal with baits.)
