Al-Qaeda Dirty Bomb (Just in!)

So, whilst reading my Daily Paper (Called the Daily Star, English), it has a news piece on how the UK is on Severe Alert due to a number of sources pointing towards a Dirty Bomb somewhere in Europe, which has been in preparation for kada-ba-BLAM for when Osama goes down. I'd type it out to you, but it's a lengthy ass piece on my tiny iPhone screen. I'll link the online version when I find it, unless somebody can link it before me. :)

Edit;

Got it.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/18 ... OMB-ALERT/

TERROR warlords are ready to nuke Britain in revenge for Osama bin Laden’s death, it was feared last night.

Al-Qaida chiefs have warned they have hidden a dirty bomb in Europe to be detonated if their leader was killed or captured.

And they were promising to bring a “nuclear hellfire” to the west. The chilling threat emerged during the interrogation of terror chiefs held in Guantanamo Bay.

Following Osama bin Laden’s death at the hands of US special forces, Brits and Americans have been told to expect atrocities targeting millions.

Brit-born hate preacher Anjem Choudary, 44, yesterday warned the UK there will be “another 7/7-style terror attack”.

And with the threat of a nuclear bomb emerging, security chiefs are now on red alert.

According to whistle-blowing site WikiLeaks, Libyan Guantanamo detainee Abu Al-Libi, 41, “has knowledge of al-Qaida possibly possessing a nuclear bomb”.

And there has even been talk among terror chiefs of smuggling chemical weapons into England.

Al-Libi, the operational chief of al-Qaida before his detention, allegedly knew the location of a nuclear bomb in Europe that would be detonated if bin Laden were killed or captured.

He had a “long term association” with bin Laden and ran al-Qaida operations in Iraq, according to US Defence Department files.

Sharif al-Masri, an Egyptian captured in 2004, claimed Al-Libi had said the nuclear bomb’s operatives “would be Europeans of Arab or Asian descent”.

One security insider said last night: “We fear that if this is true, it could cause catastrophe across Britain and the continent.”

Extremist Choudary said Brit fanatics loved bin Laden “the way they care about their own parents” and were ready to fight for him.

The sharia law lecturer, who acts as spokesman for the extremist Muslims Against Crusades group, said: “I think Britain is more likely to face a 7/7 today than ever.

“This will encourage more people to participate.

“Rather than dampening the spirits of those who are today engaged in jihad physically around the world his death will merely act as an incentive to prove to the world that the death of anyone will not affect them.

“Hence in the coming days and weeks we will no doubt see increased activities from the mujahideen and more intense fighting in the battlefields of Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Chechnya.’’

Choudary said bin Laden was a “figurehead leader” who “sacrificed a lot for the Muslim community”.

Omar Bakri, a Lebanese Sunni cleric banished from Britain, said: “His martyrdom will give momentum to a large generation of believers and jihadists.

“Al-Qaida is not a political party, it is a jihadist movement. Al-Qaida does not end with the death of a leader.”

US interrogators have spent vast amounts of time trying to establish if al-Qaida has nuclear material.

One Yemeni operative claimed “an associate of his brother was apprehended attempting to sell uranium for £300,000”. After Yemeni authorities confiscated the uranium “it was rumoured to have disappeared” when a “deal” was struck with bin Laden.

Mohommad Zahir, 48, a “weapons dealer” from Afghanistan, was arrested in 2003 carrying a memo referring to “two or three cans of uranium” which were “intended for the production of an atom bomb”.

Other detainees talked about a ship purchased by al-Qaida, which was intended to transport weapons, and possibly uranium.

Of grave concern to security forces was a network of nuclear scientists and military officers called Ummah Tameer Nau set up “to spread the modern achievements of science and technology among Muslims”.

One detainee said Ammar al-Baluchi, 34, the nephew of al-Qaida mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 45, discussed “how to smuggle explosives and chemicals into England”. Kuwait-born Khalid is awaiting trial over the 9/11 atrocities.

Foreign Secretary William Hague, 50, warned despite bin Laden’s death al-Qaida was still “in business” and people would need to be vigilant for “some time to come”.

The US State Department put American embassies on alert.

The British Government’s official terror threat level remained at “severe” last night, meaning a terrorist attack is highly likely.

Actually, America knew where he was all along. WikiLeaks recently leaked information on Osama, forcing the American's hand into action.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... a-out.html

Wikileaks may have triggered the killing of Osama Bin Laden, it was suggested last night.

For although the CIA has thought since September that he was in hiding in Abbottabad, special forces stormed his fortress only days after the website published new secret documents.

These made reference to named ‘couriers’ carrying Bin Laden’s message to his followers, and also to Abbottabad as a possible Al Qaeda bolthole.

America has already revealed that it was led to Bin Laden by tracking a man identified as his key courier.

When that courier was found in Abbottabad, the CIA began surveillance that led to the raid.

As a result, last night it was suggested the operation had to be launched before Bin Laden knew the game was up.

The theory is based on a leaked U.S. Defence Department assessment of Guantanamo Bay prisoner Abu Faraj al-Libi, 40.

The assessment, currently available on the internet, was among information first released to newspapers including the Guardian and the Telegraph, and identifies al-Libi as an operational chief of Al Qaeda, and long-term close associate of Bin Laden.

After working at the centre of the terror network in Afghanistan for more than a decade, al-Libi fled to Pakistan following the Allied conquest of Kabul in November 2001.

The top secret document claims: ‘In July 2003 In July 2003, al-Libi received a letter from Osama Bin Laden’s designated courier, Maulawi Abd al-Khaliq Jan, requesting detainee take on the responsibility of collecting donations, organizing travel, and distributing funds to families in Pakistan.

I am always butting heads with the News and challenging their OMGSHOCKAWELAWL!-ness, but I find this quite believable.

I only support the WikiLeaks story with no abstinence, because I want it to be true.

Edit;
Why is this in How Do I? I posted it in the Inn D:

i tend to belive the opposite. its just like the weather forecast. whatever they say, the opposite will happen.

america would never have not taken the chance to kill osama, because it shows that the war against terrorism has been successful??, worthwhile? has gave result would be the best word.

also the 25mill reward would be pretty enticing to them

whoever has said that americans knew where he was, are just trying to get attention, and money out of attention

Meanwhile, the government paid the pakistanis to keep quiet, kept eyes on his location, and kept him and the "hunt" alive so they had reason to stay in the country, forming a claim on their land/making trade bonds, so they could get to the oil.

sorry for stealing your pic nao, but it fits here as well.

the american government would not be doing what your saying, because although we all know they are in a stituation best described as...well ill just say it, they're fucked.

they inherited to much of bush's dumbfuck gene and do not realise they're fucked, and most likely still belive that, if this al qaeda threat is true, that they can take them on and win.

also note that "they" refers to the american government not the people so i dont get all the americans on the forum rageing at me
