Why are people so Blood Thirsy?

So me and my freind where out on the river looking for some bears to kill, when i came across 3 people on boats with Murchands robes. And i freidly greeted them and they called the thunder down on my freind and started chasing us ( I have a murchands robe also but i wanted to become freinds ) and my freind on the back of my baot does'nt even have rage and they cahsed us. So they damanded we fight them 3 VS. 1 and one one guy looked like he had ranger shirt, pickaxe, murchand robe, bearcape, steel plate ect. Another one had Ranger Cape, Vap. and ect. The only reason i did'nt jump out of my boat and fight is becuase they all woulduv zerg rushed me, just one question. Why even bother trying to kill someone for no reason and just wanted to be freinds and trade?

If you were that easy to kill wearing a Merchant's robe, that is reason enough. Don't wear gear that great if you can't defend yourself. You "will" be killed for it. Some people will even kill you for less. I think someone said they killed a person for their linen pants.

It's part of the game, this game is not farmville, other players have the option to kill you and destroy what you've made.


Why do people do it? It's fun, destroying what other people have made and otherwise causing them distress is fun, griefers, trolls, etcetera will do this and laugh at people who try to understand why; but they can never comprehend that it is just fun.


It is not fun in your eyes because you worked at something and it got destroyed, this is where the game is kinda sad; you can't easily make your own justice.


A griefer with a well built character can do whatever the fuck he wants for as long as the known leading villages on the world ignore their actions, the more people they fuck up for fun the more fun it then becomes for people in these high end villages to go around and fuck up their day.

This game almost supports griefing, when you get killed you can't often do shit about it accept suck it up and move on, you could post about it depending on the severity and some high level players will come and help you sometimes.

While I agree with some of this, I'd like to point out that this is a Ranger's game. Ranger's have a large advantage over the people they're trying to find. A well built griefer with a highly secured hearth vault however...

Grats on having murder, I'm in envy. Also, how can you be sure you have higher UA? Unless you know the person, or fought him (from your post, I wouldn't think it so)
