Amy Winehouse

Postby Projeear » Tue Jul 26, 2011 11:04 am

I just realised there doesn't seem to be a topic for this, already.

So yeah, Amy Winehouse the fugly crackwhore pop star has died, reason currently unkown, but I'm placing bets on drugs-related.

I was saying to my mother just the other day "Michael Jackson dies, the world goes apeshit and floods with tears. Amy Winehouse dies, general census: "Meh."

What do you guys think about Amy dying?
Obviously its a shame, death is never a good thing, but still, she knew she was digging her own grave and had plenty of opportunities to stop.

Death sucks, but honestly I'm surprised she made it this long. You gotta take care of yourself, man. All those drugs and shit will fuck you up eventually. At least come up for air, ya know?

This is what my friend said about it and I agree with her: " Yes, she had an addiction problem and no, it shouldn't be a complete surprise that she died way too early, but what can we take away from this? I don't have an answer to that but damn it I know the answer shouldn't be 'nothing'."

Then I know someone that is a military wife and she posted 18 posts on her FB wall about soldiers that died in Iraq, suggesting that Amy wasnt worth mentioning, well, sadness over Amys passing doesnt denigrate the sacrifice U.S. soldiers made. Everytime someone dies it's worth mentioning. I am thinking of Amy's family and how much they have to suffer. I think of how much I would suffer if it was my own daughter that would be the victim of drugs, because fighting the addiction is very hard and who says otherwise was never addicted to anything.

Every time a child of God has passed on, it is worth celebrating. Hopefully they will be celebrating a new life in Heaven. Heaven forfend that our prayers and God's mercy should fail to keep them from the bowels of Hell.

So congrats to ya, Ms. Winehouse! It's a shame to see you go - and on such short notice - but hopefully you're in a better place.

Death's sad. And hers is no less. My condolences to her family, and may she rest in peace until the Last Day.
