...Goes to me, for dismounting my boat full of nomad possessions on claimed land, without realising it.



I can't even claim to have assumed that dismounting a boat onto claimed territory wouldn't work - although that would make fucking sense, at the very least - but in this instance I simply didn't have claim highlighting switched on, and didn't realise until I'd hopped off the boat and discovered I couldn't lift it.

Sigh... worth grinding 50k for Theft skill and risking death? Maybe... I had a nice anvil in there... :/

You can't enter or lift boats within someone else's claim unless you have Theft. My character doesn't have any criminal skills. First thing I tried, trust me.

At first, I thought my character was going to be stuck in the claim as well, but thankfully you can move out of the claim, just not further into it.

What? That ain't true. You just have to stay near the boat after you get out of it.

And you CAN move further into the claim without any criminal skill whatsoever...

I don't know then. Maybe I moved a few steps out before realising the problem. I tried lifting it, and also tried getting the anvil/chest out, and both attempts gave me the "this land is claimed" message. Then I started panicking about getting stuck.
