Uac VS Melee
Which side do you take and why ?


So, this is not the average "should i go melee or uac?" it's a discussion why!
i remmber how at the start of w4 just about everyone wanted to go uac, we had given a better balance, thus making it worthwile as a real combat style,i remmber my joy if finally being able to punch someone in the face to death, and even at one point w5 i heard that(when i came back) it was nice to hear the great punching style had now become a true way of life in the hearthlands.

but then dark thoughs came, and then these images, then came the videos, what happened? Where was this world of punching that i had dreamed off?

ok that's enough BS for one post, point is, i keep sein ScreenShots of all sorts of ppl, and none of em seem to be UAC, my question is, why? i believe UAC was balanced more or less so it was possible to use it in open combat vs a melee, but, does anyone actually go UAC ? or just melee still way to OP?

well the way I see it, you should either be uac/melee or uac/mm because carrying bow is 2 hands and sword is 1 hand and because it's too much effort to raise all 3 at least until you're really pro. Benefits to pure uac ? 2 travellers sax :] + only have to worry about that one skill. Benefits to UAC/Melee, I've heard it's better in endgame, you deal more damage (2:1, melee:uac is optimal ratio afaik, e.g. 100uac 200melee)

I was gonna be pure UAC but then I got some nice swordz and had to become melee. and it looks better tbh if you're carrying soldiers sword and travellers sack you look like a boss but if you're just walking around with empty hands you look a bit dull

as i do agree swords looks bad-ass and dangerous, i like UAC for the same reason, the point in goin for 2 skills is that, goin pure would mean having a higher skill, and a uac is as as deadly, you don't know, you don't expect it, someone can just pnch all of a sudden, and if it has a good skill level, i can do a lot of damage before you realise, that's one of the many things i go about uac, in the other hand, while melee does ( A LOT) more damage at least early games, it req's IP for even the most basic attack, wich is a pain, not only takes time, but the element of surprise as well. at least for hunting no matter what, you need a sharp tool, so, +1 to melee in that sense.

Anyway, i am a uac for sure.
