I miss the days when you went into a cave and you needed a torch, when you could hide behind trees and none would see you, and when the day cycles mattered, i think these were all essential game mechanics. Am i the only one who would prefer the game to work only with the normal client?
Night-vision seriously and unfairly devalues metal but the 'x-ray' vision could be justified -- it doesn't make much sense for a boar or some other player to have the ability to hide 'behind' a tree when your character is on the same side of it as them. In a case of x-ray vision being incorporated into the default client rather than a line-of-sight dynamic maybe there could be a "hide in tree/brush" which has a timer to preform getting in and out of hiding and the speed of that timer depends on your stealth*agility; maybe still, different trees and land type brushes would have their own modifiers towards that timer. Regardless of any complaint or critique, it only makes sense (unless you're a spoiled, self-centered troll) to have a completely level playing field for the best gaming experience and forcing everybody to use
a normal client (current one has too many shortcomings and downfalls) would obviously do that.
