My First Hunt..

I remember my first hunt so many worlds ago.. I thought logs were solid and tried to block in a fox with them.. Thankfully, foxes didn't murder you back then

Anyone else remember their first hunt?

I piled a bunch of chairs / signs in front of a fox in hopes of blocking it to sling it to death....didn't end well.

I was out looking for clay along a mudflat in an unexplored interior when a boar attacked me. It chased me about 4 minimaps ; a minimap or so of forest was between the mudflat and my parked boat, where a bear was hiding.


I wasn't gonna take this indignity lying down! (Well I was when I was KO'd ) So I decided to turn my clay-scouting trip to a hunting trip!


It took some time (my first bear kill), but I emerged victorious.

Not so lucky. But really brave!
At that time, boars didnt kill you. Ahh...long time ago.

Took about 7 steps outside my home , got aggrod by a boar kod,stood up kod and so it wen on until I was dead. This was when animals hit your hhp pretty hard too.Not sure if you had 20hp when you started or if im just imaging that.(might of been 30hp)

Heh... I remember when I first started playing, I wasn't used to the isometric view of cliffs and I thought the cliffs were actually dug trenches. I seen a log laying over one and I thought it was a bridge and tried to walk across it. Good times.

As for my first hunt, I can't recall. I think I tried fighting a deer or something and it didn't end well.

My first animal kill was a boar and I did it with 30 ua.
Didn't do anything special, just kept on punching.
Combat system back then had no attack/defense bar so when you attacked someone/something, it was all stat vs stat instead of att bar vs def bar..

Just 2 days ago killed my first boar
took me >40 minutes, and various trips to the other side of the river to refill my backpack of stones....
Also today I killed a sheep from a pseudo-village... ended really oddly (look in the bug section)
