... we don't need people like you. Seriously just go to another game man. Unfortunately, we don't hold your hands here. Not Even the developers who is MIA apparently. So I speak for just about everyone when I say we don't want care bears.[/quote]

This is an example of the kind of people we don't need: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt1o-EWy-yo
I definitely don't want to rack this guys view count up, but had to share this.

Let me say this to start: if you haven't watched that video yet, don't bother. Read on for why.

Didn't bother watching the whole thing. I got tired of watching someone that only knows how to "record" and doesn't know what the meaning of "edit for content and brevity" is. He also has not a clue as to what passes for an indie game instruction manual is or how to do a little research before posting something. It just makes him look like a giant noob. I saw there is a second part, but why should I bother? As hazzor said, there's so much worse out there. The guy could have some promise if he learns how to make good videos.

Since I didn't watch the whole thing, and I didn't bother watching the second part, I don't know where you're getting that quote from. Yeah, there's some really big assholes in this community. The fact is there is very little PvE in this game. Everything is focused on either protecting yourself from other players or hunting down other players. Animals are there only for the materials that make you bigger and stronger.

FYI, the few hundred views this guy gets from being linked here aren't going to mean much compared to so many of the other "critic" videos out there that have tens of thousands of views.

edit: I probably spent more energy writing this post than that guy put into making that video.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Agreed.
I was just about as stressed as being assigned a 15 page paper on a vague topic due the next day watching this.

Seriously no point of this thread... Video sucks..

i sent him a msg asking if he would like any explenation to how anything worked.

you did a game called haven and hearth for this about a month ago, i dont know if you would be interested in learning a bit about it since it has a (very) steep learning curve. its not a bad game that gets labeled as shit because of this, i highly recommend you check out this http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/ wiki for the game, it has all the information you should need for getting started and if not you can always visit the http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/ forums which have all the information on it you should ever need, and i would also be willing to teach you a bit about it if your interested, i just dont like seeing this really great game being tossed aside due to the complicated nature for new people playing.

thank for reading this
