This goes back to world 3, has nothing to do with curios, LP or any skill for that matter, it has to do with world size. Last I saw on world 3 it was either 8X8 SG's or 9X9 with about 380 players at peak times.
Now I see the world at 5X5 supergrids with over 1K players at peak times. that's like 40 players every supergrid, compared to like 3.7 for world 3. There was still lots of fights and battles. trading still happened, but you could still find that little corner of the world to call your own and, for the most part, be left alone in peace. Raids still happened, thieves and murderers were still caught and punished, even over great distances.
Now with world 6 out, I was thinking to start playing again and go exploring. Played for about 3 days and found that anything worthwhile already had a personal claim on it. I searched over 8 SG's for something to claim, and found anything worth it already was claimed. Kinda seems a little overcrowded for the amount of people playing now compared to the amount of SG's available to explore.
Anyone know if there is some sensible reasoning behind this, or is just down to a bandwidth thing for the server. I would love to go exploring again, but running into a village ever 1/8th of a SG kinda makes exploring a mute point. Finding something new was always a highlight. But that's gone for the most part.
Just wondering, Grim
